Terms and Conditions for Online Shop

Like most people, we hate small print and hope you never have to click here. However, to keep us on the right side of the law please find some important information below.

Use of our website and the sale and purchase of goods from the website are governed by our terms and conditions as set out below. “We” or “Our” means Michael Beaumont Butchers Ltd. “You” or “your” means the person accessing, using or ordering from our website over the Internet.

1. Prices, description and availability of goods

Prices are subject to change without notice and all goods are sold subject to availability. Where goods are temporarily out of stock we will contact you so that you may choose between a refund on the item, having it shipped when it is back in stock or selecting an alternative product. Whilst we take the utmost care to ensure the product descriptions, pictures, information and prices are accurate we do not accept liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions. Colour and texture may vary slightly from those shown on the website due to natural variations or the limitations of internet technology. Orders are accepted at our sole discretion and we maintain the right to decline orders without giving an explanation.

3. Sales tax

Value Added Tax (VAT) is calculated on shipping destination where applicable. When applicable it is included in the price for orders shipped to destinations within the European Union (EU).

4. Payment methods

You may order online using a credit / debit card (we accept Master Card & Visa (but not Electron or American Express). You may order by telephoning us and pay using your credit / debit card. All prices are in pounds sterling (£).

6. Cooling off period and cancellation / returns

We want you to be satisfied every time you shop with us. If for any reason you are unhappy with the goods purchased you may cancel your order and we will issue a credit or exchange the product, which is entirely at our discretion. If you wish to cancel your regular ‘repeat’ order, you must inform us by email or telephone at least 5 working days before your delivery is due. After that time your order will have been raised and charged and cannot be cancelled.

All third party copyright, trademarks, brand names, product names and titles on this website are acknowledged. This website is protected by Copyright and the Copyright, Trademarks, logos and Intellectual Property rights for the content of Michael Beaumont Butchers Linton. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Any use, printing or copying of materials on this website, other than in the course of browsing, selecting products and ordering from us, is strictly prohibited. Any framing of this website is prohibited.

9. Security

Security is one of our highest priorities and we take every precaution to protect your personal information both online and offline. Your debit/credit card details are entered on a third party secure site maintained by our payments provider (Barclaycard) and encrypted with SSL (Secure Socket Layer), the industry standard encryption software. To help us keep your personal information strictly confidential you should keep your password secret.

 

10. Refunds

The company reserve the right to offer conditions on refunds for products based on quality reasons. We may ask you to provide evidence of any quality issue, and could make arrangements for such products to be collected and returned to us. Failure to provide evidence, or to make the product available for collection, could compromise your ability to receive a refund. All refunds are at the company’s discretion.

11. Notification of Changes

If we make substantive changes to our Terms and conditions, Privacy policy or Security policy, we will post notification of these changes on our Homepage so you are aware of them. Should we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we would notify you by e-mail and request your agreement to the changes. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

12. Legals

The contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Competitions – Social Media Prize Draws

When we run competitions like this, they are open to users over the age of 18 who have a UK address. Only one entry per username will be entered in the draw.

By entering a competition, entrants agree that their username will be announced publicly on social media.

Neither the Promoter nor the promotional parties assume any responsibility or liability for:

  • communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites,
  • servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this promotion;
  • inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof;
  • to the fullest extent allowed by law, any loss or injury resulting from promotional participation or the acceptance of a prize;

The promoter cannot be held responsible for the failure to fulfil the obligations of any third parties involved in this promotion, although we will always endeavour to minimise the effect to the participant of any such failure.

Winners will be notified and asked to provide an address for their prize to be posted. Selected prize winners have 28 days to respond with address details otherwise their prize will be reallocated. Prizes will be sent via courier service. Responsibility cannot be accepted for delays by the courier services or for incorrect details being provided by the winners.

There are no cash or other prize alternatives available. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

The promoter’s decision regarding all promotional matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

By entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions.

Your details will only be used for the purpose of processing your entry. Michael Beaumont Limited  will not use your details for marketing purposes or pass them onto another company or person.
